Demonstrations

We run a rolling programme of activities, predominantly demonstrations, in the market place and the Guildhall.
For those taking part, it is a chance to hand out promotional materials, discount vouchers etc, you will also be mentioned on our website programme and in our daily printed listing.

  • Demonstrations start on the hour.
  • Chefs need to arrive 10 minutes before the hour to set up.
  • The demonstration needs to last about 40 minutes
  • then the Chef has 10 minutes to clear down before the next Chef has their 10 minutes to set up.

Ideally we would like demonstrators to bring along one of their suppliers so that while they are cooking, there is conversation about the produce with the supplier and it is not all about the cooking technique.

Tastings and Workshops

Intended to be more interactive, customers will expect to receive more in-depth knowledge about a product. Tastings need to be both informative and comparative and workshops needs to have a practical aspect to them.
