Events Equipment Sharing Scheme

What is it?

A scheme supported by David Skaith, the Mayor of York and North Yorkshire and part-funded by York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority. Part of the Vibrant and Sustainable High Streets Fund.

This scheme enables all kinds of events to borrow equipment for free that would usually be expensive or difficult to obtain. Our equipment can now be borrowed, no charge, for events held in York and North Yorkshire. All you will need to do is collect and return the equipment yourself and apply via the link at the bottom of this page.

The scheme aims to encourage vibrancy and liveliness to North Yorkshire High Streets. Enhancing the food and drink scene and promoting smaller businesses and events to do so. The events included in the scheme do not have to be related to food and drink, as long as the activity engages the community!

Who can participate?

Anyone who is from the York and North Yorkshire area and will support the vibrancy of the High Street.

What does this mean?

Once you have applied you will receive all the additional information you need via email. You will collect the equipment on your agreed upon date from the Festival store.

The equipment is NOT available to hire for the duration of York’s Food and Drink Festival (both the main and chocolate festival) and there is no guarantee the equipment is available for the exact dates you require.
