The ever-popular York Beer & Cider Festival returns again to the spectacular surroundings of St Lawrence Parish Church!
This festival, run by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), will have more beers and ciders than any other festival in Yorkshire with over 200 available plus wines, prosecco, meads and soft drinks, plus a great selection of food on site.
The festival dates are Wednesday 17 September to Saturday 20 September 2025. Saturday evening is pay-on-the-door only this year.

Join Terra Sarda Wines on a journey in a glass across the beautiful island of Sardinia, pairing six rare wines with a selection of artisan cheeses made by an award-winning Sardinian cheesemaker in Yorkshire, using milk from local farms.
Each wine will reveal another chapter in Sardinia’s story, exploring its environment, history, food, culture – with some unexpected links to Wales!

An evening tasting Yorkshire Wines, Beers and Spirits.
A selection of Yorkshire producers will be showcasing some of their finest products, for you to taste and discuss with them. The Wines area is co-ordinated by the Festival and hosted on the night by Lucy Hjort from Melton’s restaurant – Lucy has raised awareness of the quality of Yorkshire wines for many years featuring them on her renowned wine flights.
Yorkshire Breweries and Distillers will take a range of stands and offer you the opportunity to meet the makers.
Cannonau is one of the oldest grape varieties in the world and in Sardinia it’s credited with helping islanders (particularly men!) live a long and healthy life.
In this special York Food & Drink Festival lunchtime session, we’ll be sampling a selection of wines made from these mystical vines and exploring the diet of the Blue Zone, which helps keep the nimble Sardinians going for years… and years!
